BATTLE GROUND – Warsaw was ninth and Triton 16th in the Lafayette-Jefferson Classic boys golf tournament Saturday.
The Tigers posted a score of 340, one shot behind Indianapolis Cathedral and six shots behind Guerin Catholic for seventh place.
Sam Yeager and Michael Jensen each shot 83, with Tommy Meier two shots back at 85. Luke Delp posted an 88, and Tim Rata had a 90 for Warsaw.
No individual scores were available for Triton as of press time.
Teams from both schools, including Warsaw’s JV squad and   Tippecanoe Valley, were sent to Swan Lake Resort near Plymouth for the LaVille Invitational.
Warsaw’s Luke Johnson had an 82 for the Tigers. Rob Sullivan posted an 83, Jacob LaLonde a 91, Trent Rapp had a 101 and Chase Byron a 102. Scores for the other two teams were not submitted.
All three teams will play in the Warsaw Sectional at Rozella Ford on Friday.
