PERU – Manchester ‘s girls tennis team advanced to the Peru Sectional championship with a 5-0 win over fellow Three Rivers Conference member Northfield Thursday.
Leiah Brandenburg had to come back from a set down to win at No. 3 singles over Abigail Poole 4-6. 6-1, 6-1. The remainder of the matches were won in straight sets. Karly Eichenauer needed just 13 games to win at No. 2 singles.
The Lady Squires (15-2) will face defending champion and TRC foe Wabash for the title today.
