WINONA LAKE – A career night by Braxton Keller led the Lakeland Christian Academy varsity boys basketball team to a 53-44 win over Elkhart Christian.

Keller tallied a career-high 18 points and brought down eight rebounds, as the Cougars improved to 5-10 with their second straight win.

Jake Harmon scored 17 points and grabbed five boards for LCA, while Landon Twombly chipped in with nine points and seven assists, and Landon Paris finished with five points and five rebounds.

The Cougars trailed 16-13 after one quarter of play, but outscored Elkhart Christian 18-9 in the second quarter and led 31-25 at halftime and 41-36 heading into the final frame.

Luke Burns led Elkhart Christian (5-7)  with 13 points, while Bryce Coursen and Joe Ndaiga scored 10 and nine points, respectively.

The Cougars are in action again tonight when they travel to Clinton Christian.
