The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
• 1:49 p.m. Monday - Cynthia A. Heckaman, 72, of 7745 N. Ind. 13, North Webster, arrested for theft. Bond: $600.
• 5:23 p.m. Monday - Tyler D. Reith, 24, of 201 E. Greenhaus Drive, #17, Syracuse, arrested for felony failure to appear. No bond set.
• 5:43 p.m. Monday - Kaleb Hobbs, 29, of 101 Warner Drive, Claypool, arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Bond: $5,250.
• 12:43 a.m. Tuesday - Daniel K. Smith, 51, homeless, arrested for battery against a public safety official engaged in official duty. Bond: $5,250.
• 2:22 a.m. Tuesday - Joshua M. Emmons, 35, of 405 E. Sycamore St., Silver Lake, arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Bond: $700.
• 5:29 a.m. Tuesday - Lindsey M. Wray, 25, of 212 S. Union St., apt. C, Warsaw, arrested for possession of a syringe, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug and neglect of a dependent. Bond: $5,250.

• 6:52 p.m. Monday - 644 E. Beck Ave., Syracuse. Car hit fence owned by James W. Hapner, East Beck Avenue, Syracuse. Driver: Robert P. Taylor, 28, North Hillside Drive, Syracuse. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
• 9:30 p.m. Monday - East CR 450N, 300 feet east of North CR 475E, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Jo A. Eccles, 38, South Main Street, North Webster. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSO.
• 6:36 a.m. Tuesday - South CR 400W, 1,000 feet south of West Union Street, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Jacob S. Jennings, 26, West CR 525S, Claypool. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSO.
• 6:47 a.m. Tuesday - Intersection of West CR 400N and North CR 150W, Warsaw. SUV-car collision. Drivers: Vivina M. Calderon, 25, West CR 400N, Warsaw; Benjamin K. Fullmer, 26, East Main Street, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSO.

• 10:21 a.m. Monday - A drug overdose was reported in the 400 block of South Washington Street, Warsaw. Warsaw Police Department investigated.
• 10:43 a.m. Monday - A natural death was reported in the 4500 block of East Ind. 14, Claypool. Silver Lake Police Department investigated.
• 2:29 p.m. Monday - A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1900 block of East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. WPD.
• 2:50 p.m. Monday - A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1200 block of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. WPD.
• 12:17 a.m. Tuesday - A warrant was served in the 2100 block of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. WPD.
• 1:26 a.m. Tuesday - A license plate was reported found in the 600 block of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. WPD.
• 1:38 a.m. Tuesday - A drug overdose was reported in the 2100 block of Dubois Drive, Warsaw. WPD.
• 1:38 a.m. Tuesday - A person was arrested in the 200 block of South Union Street, Warsaw, for possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, possession of paraphernalia and neglect of a dependent. WPD.
