The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 1:24 p.m. Friday - Mark Anthony Ogle, 34, Kingston, Ga., arrested on two counts of failure to pay. Bond: $436.

• 2:24 p.m. Friday - Treesa Renee Metz, 23, of 10 Yvonna St., Leesburg, arrested for probation violation - felony, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia - misdemeanor and possession of a synthetic drug. Bond: $10,250.

• 4:35 p.m. Friday - Joshua Wayne Owens, 34, of 3762 W. Old 30, #630, Warsaw, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Bond: $700.

• 5:08 p.m. Friday - Ashtyn Nicole Demelo, 25, Cleveland Heights, Ohio, arrested for failure to appear - original charge felony. Bond: $25,250.

• 5:43 p.m. Friday - Timothy Allan Dilley, 55, of 95 EMS D18 A1 Lane, Syracuse, arrested on four counts of failure to appear - misdemeanor and failure to appear - felony. No bond set.

Personal Injury


• 8:55 p.m. Thursday - South Ind. 25, 500 feet west of South Bruner Road, Warsaw. SUV-car collision. Drivers: Marlene R. Shively, 43, Spear Street, Rochester; Sabrina Heiman-Witham, 18, East Broadway Street, Burket. Injury: Heiman-Witham complained of back and neck pain and was taken by Mentone EMS to Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester; Shively complained of ankle pain but refused medical attention at the scene. Damage: $10,000-$25,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

• 2:54 p.m. Friday - East Center Street, 75 feet east of Harrison Street, Warsaw. Mo-ped/SUV collision. Drivers: Joshua W. Owens, 34, East CR 200N, Warsaw; Duane K. Hammond, 63, South CR 1075E, Akron. Injury: Owens suffered facial injuries and was looked at by medics but refused medical treatment. Owens was cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

Property Damage


• 11:49 a.m. Thursday - Intersection of Kings Highway and School Street, Winona Lake. Tire on pickup broke off and went into other lane of travel and was hit by a car. Drivers: Richard R. Dunnuck, 59, West CR 150S, Warsaw; Christofer Silvestre, 20, Wildwood Lane, Winona Lake. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Winona Lake Police Department investigated.

• 3:10 p.m. Thursday - West CR 1350N, 50 feet east of Ashbury Court, Nappanee. SUV went off road and hit mailboxes belonging to Richard R. Pletcher and Rose A. Miller, West CR 1350N, Nappanee. Driver: David A. Rasler, 52, Fox Crest Drive, Nappanee. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.

• 4:49 p.m. Thursday - South Huntington Street, 40 feet south of East Palm Drive, Syracuse. Car-motorcycle collision. Drivers: Wendy L. Dimmick, 29, North CR 750E, Syracuse; Jacob T. Reiff, 24, East Palm Drive, Syracuse. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Syracuse Police Department investigated.

• 5:11 p.m. Thursday - West Section Street, 34 feet north of South Higbee Street, Milford. Car-SUV collision. Drivers: Matthew Wood-Wilson, 23, East Van Buren Street, Leesburg; Paul K. Wolfe, 71, Fairmount. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.

• 12:34 a.m. Friday - West CR 200S, 1,000 feet west of South CR 450W, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Kylie A. Rick, 18, Elkhart. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.

• 11:15 a.m. Friday - South Tamarack Street, 35 feet north of East Market Street, Warsaw. Pickup hit parked SUV registered to Christy M. Gordon, East Market Street, Warsaw. Driver: Jesus R. Sanchez, 89, North CR 100E, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. WPD.


• 9:44 a.m. Thursday - An employee of Warsaw Community Schools in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street, Warsaw, reported a battery and criminal mischief. WPD.

• 11:37 a.m. Friday - Check fraud was reported in the 300 block of South Main Street, Leesburg. KCSD.

• 1:19 p.m. Friday - A man made threats against the mother of his child in the 2100 block of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 2:54 p.m. Friday - A mo-ped/van collision led to a man being arrested for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence in the 2100 block of East Center Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 5:55 p.m. Friday - A woman in the 3300 block of Lake City Highway, Warsaw, was arrested on a warrant. WPD.
