Silence Of A Winter’s Night At Salamonie Lake Jan. 29
Friday, January 7, 2022 7:50 PM
Learn about the winter night sky during “Silence of a Winter’s Night” at Salamonie Lake on Jan. 29.
The program runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature telescope stargazing with Steve and Debbie Russell, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
The evening will begin with introductions and a meal. Participants will then create their own winter sky chart and learn about stargazing with astronomy enthusiasts Steve and Debbie Russell. Telescope viewing outdoors will begin after the sky has reached true darkness (alternate programming will take place in the event of poor visibility).
Advance registration is required, and space is limited. The cost is $20 per person or $30 per pair.
Participants must be 9 years old or older.
Call 260-468-2127 for more information or to register. Salamonie Lake (on.IN.gov/salamonielake) is at 3691 New Holland Road, Andrews.
