Warsaw Community Public Library Board learned about issues with the building at its meeting Monday.

Library Director Ann Zydek said one of the elevators is having issues opening on the upper level. She said she doesn’t know if it’s a magnet issue or something else.

Zydek also said the phones are being worked on. This is due to the library being informed by Kosciusko Central Dispatch that dispatch wouldn’t be able to hear the library on the dispatch’s end if someone from the library called. An automatic message was put into the library’s phone system for 911 calls due to the issue.

Some of the other features are being fine tuned.

Zydek also said the sump pump outside of the circulation department stopped working due to the rains over the weekend, but it since has been fixed.

The board also approved the 2020 board of finance officers as Chris Merril as president and Ben Rice as secretary. Those positions also were approved in the finance board meeting that immediately followed the library board meeting.

The library board elected and approved the 2020  board officers. They were Merrill, president; Barbara Beck, vice president; Cathi Zdeneck, secretary; and Rice, treasurer.

The board also approved the meetings for 2020. They are Feb. 10, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 14, Oct. 19, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14. The January 2021 meeting will be Jan. 11.
