AKRON – At Monday’s Tippecanoe Valley School Board meeting, Tippecanoe Valley High School Principal Brandon Kresca will make an announcement regarding Indiana College Core.

The Indiana College Core was developed by public institutions in Indiana in response to Senate Enrolled Act 182-2012. It allows a student, who satisfactorily completes an approved program of general education at any public institution, to transfer that coursework to another public institution as a block of 30 credit hours toward the general education core requirements, according to the state of Indiana website.

Thursday, Superintendent Blaine Conley said the school corporation is really excited about the announcement and Kresca will explain the opportunity it allows Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation students. Conley did not give further information, saying Kresca will give information Monday.

Also Monday, the Board will approve:

• The 2022-23 teaching assignments.

• The 2022-23 extracurricular assignments.

• Several policies on school board work sessions and retreats, voting and abstentions, electronic participation by board member in board meetings, curriculum adoption process and student residence verification.
