Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is having a quilt silent auction at the Wagon Wheel during the showing of “Guys and Dolls” (June 16-26). The quilt has a date of completion of March 10, 1997. It is a Whig Rose Medallion, 100 inches by 110 inches, fitting a queen- or king-size bed. The quilt is vintage 1980 colors of blue, green and burgundy. It has polyester batting and is hand-quilted. It is in mint condition, never washed and odor-free. The Quilt Designs by Shirley Shenk (1997) was pieced and hand-quilted by Amish ladies around Goshen. This was donated by Cindy Coppes and was her mother’s quilt. All proceeds will go to Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary for local projects.
