After a short foot pursuit Saturday morning, a Pierceton man was arrested on five outstanding warrants.

Jacob David Anderson, 25, of 711 E. Main St., Warsaw, was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 11:57 a.m. Saturday.

At about 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Pierceton Police received a tip about the location of Anderson. Officers responded to his location and then led officers on a short foot chase into a barn near Regency Point Trailer Park, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

Anderson was taken into custody without further incident.

Anderson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on the warrants for failure to appear for sentencing with an original charge of burglary, three misdemeanor failure to pay fines and costs warrants, and on a warrant in a civil matter.

The arrest was a joint operation between the KCSD, Pierceton Police and the Indiana State Police.
