Days after McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel announced it was closing its doors, the Sadler family announced it would remain open.

A news release issued Tuesday stated, “John Sadler and family announces the firm will reopen for business for all services, including prearrangements and immediate needs, effective immediately. We apologize to the community for any concerns caused as a result of the closure announcement.

“With Derek Sadler pursuing other interests, we will continue to provide the same quality of personal, compassionate and individual service that you have come to expect from us. We would like to thank the local funeral homes for their support and words of kindness.

“Again, our sincere and respectful apologies to our community and the families we have served. We thank you for your understanding, concern and support as we move forward in service. As always, we remain committed to our community.”

The original news release Friday announcing the closure of the funeral chapel said McHatton-Sadler had served thousands of families in the community for over 67 years. It is a family-owned business.
