A Warsaw man is facing several charges after allegedly threatening two women with a knife.

Nicholas Andrew Meade, 42, of 5849 S. West Channel Road, Warsaw, is charged with two counts of intimidation with a deadly weapon, Level 5 felonies; and domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a Level 6 felony.

He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 1:02 p.m. June 16 on a $11,000 preliminary bond.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on June 16 a Pierceton Police Department officer responded to a domestic dispute. Law enforcement learned a woman, a child and a man with a knife were in the residence.

Upon arrival of the scene, the officer and a Kosciusko?County Sheriff’s Office deputy approached the residence and was met by a woman at the door. The woman was asked if anyone else was in the residence. She said no, but consented to the officers checking the residence.

The officer found two male subjects behind the door. The officer learned the woman had been in a physical altercation with Meade, who was behind the front door and was taken into custody. He was found to have a 4-inch flip blade knife in his possession.

The woman said she was attempting to wake up Meade. While she was holding a child, Meade became upset, hitting her on the right side of her face. The woman said she called a second woman to come pick up her children, but Meade said the children weren’t going anywhere and he would hurt anyone that tried to take them.

When the second woman came to pick up the children, the first woman said Meade pulled out a knife and told the second woman to get out of the house. The second woman left the house with the first woman’s older daughter. The first woman said when law enforcement arrived at the house Meade held the knife and told the first woman if she told the police he was inside the house, he would beat and hurt her. She said it scared her enough to say no one else was in the house because she thought Meade would follow through with his threat.

The second woman told police she had received a call from the first woman, who sounded upset and was crying. The second woman was asked to pick up the children and, when she arrived at the house, she was confronted by Meade. The second woman said Meade had a knife in his hand when he told her to leave or he would shoot her.

The second woman said Meade told her several times if she did not get out of the house, he was going to kill everyone. The second woman said she believed Meade would follow through with killing everyone, according to court documents.

Meade was previously convicted of nonsupport of a dependent child in Kosciusko County on April 21, 2015.
