Staff Report
Wednesday, March 23, 2022 6:12 PM
Cori Humes
The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau (KCCVB) has hired Cori Humes as their new executive director, effective April 4.
KCCVB Board of Directors formed a search committee of five members to select a new director, according to a news release from the organization.
Humes has a long history in the destination marketing industry. The past eight years she has served as the executive director of the Marshall County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Prior to this position, she served as the assistant director, with a total of 13 years of experience in a destination marketing organization. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Indiana University of South Bend.
“We are thrilled to have someone with Cori’s extensive experience and leadership skills as the next director of the Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau,” said Doug Hanes, city president of 1st Source Bank in Warsaw and chair of the KCCVB Board of Directors. “Cori’s extensive knowledge of the destination marketing industry and her vision for economic growth in the community set her apart. She brings new ideas and marketing skills to an already thriving organization.”
In her new role, Humes will be responsible for the overall administration, supervision and operation of KCCVB.
"As a lifetime Marshall County resident, Kosciusko County has always felt like a second home. From the great dining choices, shopping, lakes and attractions, I am looking forward to the opportunity to represent Visit Kosciusko County in my new role and learn a great deal more about this wonderful county,” Humes said.
