Katy Ann Ellis and Brandon Frey Hilts were married at 3:30 p.m. June 21, 2014, at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Carmel, by Fr. Stephen Fales.
The bride’s parents are Sydney and Gregory Ellis, Warsaw, and the groom’s parents are Ruth and Richard Hilts, Brownsburg.
Maid of honor was Sara Ellis, Plainfield.
Bridesmaids were Whitney Smith, Ellie Hansotte, Brijan Gossan and Bridget Hilts, all of Indianapolis; and Carrie Clark, Akron, Ohio.
Best main was Neil Hudelson, Indianapolis.
Groomsmen were Brian Hilts and Andy Pool, both of Indianapolis; Brad Hilts, Kansas City, Mo.; Zach Hooten, Dayton, Ohio; and Jon Roales, New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Ushers were Jimmy Bauman, Plainfield; Andy O’Connor, Indianapolis; and Donny Franzen, Avon.
A reception was at Plum Creek Golf Course, Carmel.
The bride is a tobacco program manager with the Marion County Public Health Department, Indianapolis. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2003. She received a bachelors degree in art in history in 2007 from Hanover College; a master degree in public health in 2010 from I.U. School of Medicine, Department of Public Health; and is pursuing a doctoral degree in health policy and management from I.U. Fairbanks School of Public Health.
The groom is a quality engineer for Rolls-Royce, Indianapolis. He graduated from Bishop Dwenger, Fort Wayne, in 2007, and received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering in 2008 from Purdue University. In 2013, he received a master’s degree from Purdue.
The couple took a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Their residence is in Avon.
