The Kosciusko Community Hospital Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Jerry Beasley as chief executive officer. Beasley comes to KCH from Fort Wayne where he served as chief executive officer of St. Joseph Hospital.

25 Years

Warsaw's Dane Miller, chief executive officer of Biomet, is more interested in a good return to the company's shareholders than large cash compensation for himself. That's the theme Miller conveys in a cover story in the in the May 6 issue of Business Week magazine.

50 Years

The quick thinking of a 17-year-old Claypool High School student prevented serious injury to his father when fuel exploded while the two were refueling a farm tractor. John Conley and his father Bert Conley and another son Ron, 15, were finishing field work for the day when the explosion occurred. The elder Conley was thrown to the ground by the force of the explosion. John quickly wrapped his father's hands with his jacket smothering the flames.

75 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foster were host and hostess of at a Mother's Day Dinner Sunday. A stag party for members of the American Legion will be held on Friday at the legion hall. Prizes will be given for euchre and bridge.
