10 Years

Christ Carpenter, Claypool, is a Kosciusko County Commissioner candidate for the southern district. She will appear on the Republican Party ballot along with incumbent Avis Gunter and Bob Conley during the May 2 primary election. Ben Blocher of Troop 715 recently completed his Eagle Scout Project at Lakeland Christian Academy.

25 Years

Kosciusko Community Hospital has broken ground on a multi-year construction and renovation project, President Wayne Hendrix announced. Work began recently on the consolidation of patient rooms to create one 35-bed medical surgical unit on the fourth floor. The west end of the fourth floor is being remodeled and surgical patient rooms now on the east end will be moved to the new section.

50 Years

Mrs. Joann Hath, Ligonier, took first place as Queen of the spring "Talent-A-Rama" sponsored by the Warsaw TOPS. Hath was named queen for having lost the most pounds in three months, a total of 22.5 pounds.

Worth Matron Nancy Motts conducted the opening with her 1965-66 officers for the public installation of the Syracuse Chapter 283.

75 Years

Pretty 18-year-old Ileen Sarber, Burket high school senior and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sarber, residents of south of Burket, will represent that vicinity's egg shippers as candidate for queen of Mentone Egg show April 16. Miss Saber is one of five girls from which the Egg Queen will be chosen. Five feminine candidates for queen of the Mentone Egg Show April 16. Miss Sarber is one of a group of five girls from which the Egg Queen will be chosen.
