Jailer officers from 17 counties converged on Kosciusko County Wednesday for a special training session hosted by Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department. Eighty one officers including nine from KCSD along with 12 training officers from Knox and Hamilton counties headed to the basement of the Justice Building to begin the training. The training focuses on defensive positions and maneuvers.

25 Years

The last of four Kosciusko County Jail escapees were captured Friday afternoon in Bluffton after allegedly being involved in a three-day crime spree.

Joseph Harwood, 17, and Andrew Baldridge, 23, were taken into custody by Bluffton police at 3:45 p.m. According to Kosciusko County Sheriff Al Rovenstine, Indiana State Police at the Bremen Post, received an anonymous tip at about 2 p.m. and passed it along to law enforcement officials.

50 Years

Rev. Martin A. Horvath, South Bend, has been named as successor to the late Rev. Lawrence T. Reddington as pastor of the Sacred Heart Church in Warsaw. Father Horvath was named to the position by the Rev. Leo Pursley. James C. Stucky, Syracuse, has been invited to participate in the discussion clinics at the 1966 National School Boards Convention in Minneapolis during the week of April 23 to 26.

75 Years

Mrs. C.W. Smith, South High Street, was hostess Friday to 11 members of the Martha Washington club and one guest, Mrs. Jeff Stookey, of Rochester. At noon a demonstration dinner was served. During the business session Mrs. Allen Shaffer and Mrs. Herbert Smith, delegates to the county convention of federation of clubs gave reports. A donation was made to the Warsaw-Winona Lake Girl Scouts.
