10 years:

Claypool is preparing for the upcoming groundbreaking of the Louis Dreyfus facility scheduled to open Thursday. Louis Dreyfus is planning to build the world's largest biodiesel fuels plant at the site. Jeff Hersha, with the engineering firm Jones and Henry, Fort Wayne, was present to reiterate to the board that his firm be considered if and when they need and engineering assistance in the future.

25 Years:

Dr. Ed Blue, a former resident of Kosciusko County, has been named president of Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky. Blue is the graduate of North Webster High School and Grace College. He holds master's and doctor's degrees from Indiana University. Blue was principal at Atwood, Washington, and Claypool elementaries.

50 Years:

 Tim Hine was recently selected as Boy's State representative from North Webster High School. Richard White was chosen as alternate. Tim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rupprecht, North Webster, and Richard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl White, North Webster.

75 Years:

Rev. A.W. Raabe, Warsaw, was elected moderator of the Fort Wayne Presbyterian at the spring meeting held Monday at Huntington. Selected last night from five pretty feminine candidates as queen of the annual Mentone Egg show is Miss Illeen Sarber, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sarber, Burket.
