    Louis Dreyfus Corp. is one of the world's oldest and largest merchandisers of grains and oilseeds, with plants in more than 50 countries. The corporation has indicated an interest in the Clay Township area for more than a year. Gov. Mitch Daniels is making an announcement today, March 8, that a soybean processing plant will be constructed south of Claypool, with biodiesel and ethanol facilities.

25 Years
The Tigers won their third straight Sectional Saturday night, March 2, by beating Tippecanoe Valley 79-76; the 9th-ranked Tigers advance to the first game of the Elkhart Regional, where they battle John Glenn. Dan Elliott had 29 points, Jason McKenzie, 17, and Todd Szymanski,16. "Our defense was outstanding in the first period. Tippecanoe Valley kept coming at us. They never gave up," said Warsaw Coach Al Rhodes.
    Dawn Marie McGlothin, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen D. McGlothin, Winona Lake, has been selected as a finalist in the 20th annual Indiana National Teen-Ager Pageant hosted by the Adam Mark's Hotel in Indianapolis April 12-13. She is being sponsored by Think Young Styling Center and Zale Drugs, Warsaw.

50 Years
Donna E. Forney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Forney, Route 1, Etna Green, is one of 34 students at Indiana Central College's nurses' training program who will receive their caps Sunday, Feb. 20, in Ransburg Auditorium. She is a 1965 graduate of Triton High School.
    William E. Hadley, president of First National Bank, announced that George E. Snyder, well-known Warsaw businessman, will join the staff March 7. He has been owner and operator of the Snyder and Snyder Oil Co. for the past 13 years. His brother, Art, is now operating the business. He and his wife, the former Dorothy Creighton, have three children, Linda, 17, Randall, 14, and Christine, 10.

75 Years
The Junior class of the Atwood High School will present the play "Linda Lou"in the Etna Green gym Thursday, February 6. The cast: Stanley Sourwine, Jack Bowers, John Lutes, Wanda Greisinger, Ruth McColly, Kathryn Egolf, Keith Horn, Lois Marie Davis, Marilyn Harman, Lucille Williamson and Lorraine Plotner.
    Contracts for gasoline for the county highway department during 1941 have been awarded by the commissioners: first quarter, Ohio Company; second quarter, Pure Oil Company; third quarter, Indian Refining Company; fourth quarter, Phillips 66.
    Quick work by Warsaw policemen and Dr. Samuel Murphy saved the life of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Dobbins' son, born at 10 minutes after 5 o'clock Tuesday, Feb. 4, but was not breathing normally. The city resuscitator was called.
