    Warsaw Community High School student Becky Sullivan participated in the Legislative Page Program at the Indiana Statehouse Jan. 26.

    Air Force Airman Kyle E. Vanlaningham graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Kim Vanlaningham, Milford, and is a 2004 graduate of Wawasee High School.

    "Keepsakes From the Heart" held its grand opening in the Lake Village Shopping Center. Store owners are Leo and Jan Belanger, and Lorena Siesennop is manager. There are presently more than 40 local artisans selling their crafts in the store.

    This week, Feb. 4-8, is "4-H Week." Christy Williams, 10, and her mother, Patty, look over examples of projects and information during the 4-H kick-off program.

Warsaw High School choral students, under the direction of Margaret Ann Voirol, who will be presenting a program over WRSW tonight, Jan. 18, are Margo King, Shelley White, Phil Boley, Jane Hall, Connie Watkins and Lynn Adkinson. Students representing the band department, under the direction of Bazil O'Reilley, are Linda Gooch, Gordon Good, Steve Moore and Jan Lackey.

    The Whitko Community School Board last night, Jan. 18, selected the Ben Thomson estate, consisting of 150 acres in Cleveland Township, Whitley County, as the site for the new high school. Joe Fisher made the motion to accept the site and Raymond Gall made the second.

Pauline Jordan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Jordan, Fort Wayne Avenue, Warsaw, has been chosen by the Beta Sigma Phi sorority as delegate to the state council meeting of the sorority to be held Sunday, January 19 at Indianapolis. Marie Sohaski and Imogene Irvine, also members, will accompany her.

    Owners, managers and clerks of the 116 Ace Hardware stores will preview new merchandise for 1941 at their annual convention and exhibit January 20 to 22, Thomas S. Bowie, manager of the local store, announced today, after receiving word from company officials that arrangements have been completed to lease 28,000 feet of space for the show on the second floor of the Merchandise Mart, Chicago.
