Atwood Church To Hold Free

‘Flapjacks and Fellowship’ Breakfast

ATWOOD – The United Methodist Women's group at Atwood's Otterbein United Methodist Church will be providing a free community "Flapjacks and Fellowship" breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Sept. 28 in the church's Fellowship Hall. The meal will include pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, milk and juice.

UMW members Jane Schroeder and Martha Coppes are coordinating the breakfast and will be assisted by Rick Baney cooking his trademark eggs. The entire congregation is looking forward to greeting old and new friends.

The church is located at 306 E. Main St. in Atwood, and visitors are asked to enter through the double doors on the west side of the building that lead directly into the Fellowship Hall.  The entrance is handicapped accessible.

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Sunday school is at 9 a.m. and church at 10:20 a.m.

Syracuse Church To Hold Monthly

Alzheimer’s Association Support Group

SYRACUSE ­– The Alzheimer’s Association has monthly support group meetings for family members and other individuals who care for those with dementia. The association provides these individuals with an opportunity to share their experiences with others and to also receive support. The support group meets at Calvary United Methodist Church at 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, on the fourth Thursday of the month from 2 to 3 p.m.

The next meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 26.

Silver Lake Church To Present Animated Movie ‘The Pilgram’s Progress’

SILVER LAKE – “The Pilgrim’s Progress” will be presented in a feature-length animated movie from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Silver Lake Wesleyan Church, 106 Walnut St., Silver Lake. Based on John Bunyan’s masterpiece, “The Pilgrim’s Progress” is one of the most popular books of all time and one of the most important stories of the Christian faith. Second to the Bible in total copies and translations printed, the story was written by John Bunyan, a pastor imprisoned for sharing his faith. This allegory helps families and individuals of all ages understand the spiritual journey is the most important journey in life. Viewers journey with Christian as he travels from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City, battling enemies who are on a mission to keep him from reaching his king. The movie can give children the courage to stay on the straight path in a culture that often stands against them.

Parking is north of the church. Entrance is on the east, upper level with handicap access. There is no admission fee.  

A free-will offering will be received which all goes to the producers of the film to help send the film to countries around the world.

Warsaw Church To Hold Country Breakfast

Warsaw Family Worship having all you can eat country breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The church is located at 1250 Husky Trail, next to Martin’s Supermarket. Donations at the door.  

Warsaw Church To Hold Special Services

Bishop David Mukasa from Uganda, East Africa, will be ministering Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at New Beginnings Church and World Outreach, 741 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw.

Warsaw Church To Hold Round Up Sunday

Community Bible Church, 2947 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, will hold a Round Up at 10:15 a.m. Sunday. Horseback riding and a bounce house will be available for kids with games for all ages. There will be door prizes, a pie-eating contest, a potluck dinner and a chili cook off. A special round up service will also be held.
