Warsaw To Hold ‘Back To Church’ Sunday

First Bretren Church, 1318 E. Center St., Warsaw, is partnering with thousands of churches across the United States for “Back to Church Sunday.” The church welcomes people to visit it at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Warsaw Church To Celebrate

Midweek Service Of Holy Eucharist

Starting Oct. 2, an informal midweek service of Holy Eucharist will be celebrated in the Chapel of St. Mary the Virgin at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 424 W. Market St., Warsaw. Services will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will last approximately half an hour, with time for prayer and reflection in a contemplative environment. All are welcome to attend and all who are baptized are invited to receive the sacrament at the Lord’s table.

Sacred Heart Meal Offered

 A community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw on Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The meal this month will feature the Ohio chicken sandwich, green beans, potato chips, watermelon, fresh fruit and a variety of desserts.

This month’s dinner is  provided and served by parishioners.  There is no charge for the meal. All in the community are welcome.  For questions, call 267-5842.

Atwood Church To Hold Men’s Breakfast

ATWOOD ­– The second Saturday of each month at 7 a.m., the men of Otterbein United Methodist Church gather for a time of the three “F’s” – food, fellowship and fun. Rick, Tom and others come together to make sure that the men of the church have a  hot meal to share as the church takes some time off from the cares of the world. There is a time of sharing in a devotional, too.

So bring yourself, your sons, grandsons or dads and granddads. Bring a friend. All are welcome to come and join in fellowship with the Lord.

Pathway Church is beginning a new sermon series, “Addicted: Finding Freedom We Never Thought Possible.” The church would like to invite the community out to join them for this six-weeks series.  During the series, the church will pursue hope, freedom and resources for addictions and habits including drugs, alcohol, screens, work, food, shopping, sex and pornography.

Claypool Church To Hold Rummage Sale

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church will have a rummage sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as a bake sale in Fellowship Hall. Bible study to start today at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Sunday School is at 9 a.m., and church with Pastor Rob Seewald is at 10:20 a.m.

Free Community Dinner In Pierceton

PIERCETON – Four Pierceton churches will hold a free community dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 19 at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 408 W. Catholic St, Pierceton. Beef and homemade noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, veggies, fruit and cookies will be served at Pierceton’s “free” community dinner.  Everyone is invited to come and enjoy some conversation and a meal.
