Walnut Creek To Hold Prayer?Vigil

Walnut Creek Church, 2033 S. CR 150W, Warsaw, will be hosting a community heroes prayer vigil on Friday from 6:15 to 8 p.m. at Winona Lake Park in the picnic shelter near the tennis courts.

This will be a come-and-go event and open to anyone in the community. This year, the church said it has so many community heroes to acknowledge - everyday heroes like sanitation workers, teachers, doctors, nurses, police officers, city and school leaders, EMS, fire personnel and all the essential workers who go above and beyond every day.

The church invites the community to take a moment in your day Friday to remember community heroes at the prayer vigil.

You can light a votive candle (battery operated for safety) to honor a community hero and stay to pray as long as you desire. There will be members of Walnut Creek there to pray and light a candle every 10 minutes to guide the vigil. The vigil will happen rain or shine since those attending are in the shelter.

Wear your mask and maintain social distancing. Any questions, contact Pastor Stacy Downing at or 574-267-4032.
