Church Holding Benefit For Warsaw Man Suffering From Severe Seizures

Andy Heeter
God’s Highway To Heaven Church, 555 Webber St., Warsaw, will hold a benefit for Warsaw resident and church parishioner Andy Heeter.
The event is 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Judy Pennington, food pantry director, said Andy is seeking treatment at Cleveland Clinic due to severe seizures.
She said when the church found out about Heeter, 24, going to get treatment, the church banded together to put the fundraiser together. Pennington said Heeter said he had some savings that could go toward treatment, but the church is trying to cover the expenses.
All proceeds will go toward expenses for his care. Pennington said Heeter’s mother, Kathryn, will not be able to stay with him during his stay at Cleveland Clinic so she will have to get a hotel. The proceeds will go toward gas, hotel expenses and any future trips Heeter might have to take.
During Saturday’s event, people will have the choice of spaghetti, nachos or hotdogs for $6, which includes a drink. Children under 10 are $4. There will also be a bake sale and T-shirts for sale.
Pennington said once all the proceeds are tallied up after the event, the money will be given over to church Pastor Bob Brown and his wife, Tanya, who will make a check out to Heeter.
Pennington said if Heeter exhausts the funds that are raised and he needs additional help or surgery, the church will pull together to help out. She noted Heeter is “a sweet boy.”
She said hopefully, Heeter gets the help he needs and the church raises enough money to help him.
