Last Monday Euchre Club

The Last Monday Euchre Club met at the Warsaw Senior Center on April 30.  

High winner was Marylou Laurino, most lones were Arlene Brooke and Bonnie Jagodzinki, and low was Asenath Wilson.  

The next meeting will be at 12:30 p.m. May 21 at the Warsaw Senior Center.   



Lambda Chi Omega

Lambda Chi Omega will have a Mother’s Day banquet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stacy’s in Leesburg.



Frances Slocum Chapter DAR

WABASH — Wabash County Frances Slocum Chapter INDAR will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Activity Room, 1231 Manchester Ave., Wabash.  

The program will be members sharing about their ancestor patriot. Prospective members and guests are welcome to attend.

Singles Meeting Friends

A nice group gathered for the April 25 meeting at Martin’s upstairs deli. Enough stayed after the meeting for two tables of euchre.

Vicki is back from Florida.

Many from the group went to Red Lobster in Fort Wayne for the recent Lobster Fest.

Eight people attended the group’s meeting May 2. The evening’s storm generated quite a reaction.

Donna will be delivering barbecue ribs and Rise ’N Roll doughnuts to those who purchased them in support of the Relay for Life fundraiser.

Two games of euchre followed the meeting.

Game night is planned for Friday at the upstairs deli at Martin’s Super Market.



Wednesday Night Bridge

The group had five tables May 2 with the following winners: Mike Herring, Dorothy Herring, Joan Kizer, Becky Girard, Bob Mayer and Janet Petro.  

Janet and John Wagley are hostess and host for May. The next meeting is May 9.

Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club

Victor Mancinelli, CEO and president of CTB Inc., spoke at Wednesday’s meeting of the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club.

Chore-Time Brock, founded in 1952, is now owned by Berkshire Hathaway. It has over 300 employees, 1,000-plus distributors, and 40 manufacturing and warehouse facilities around the globe, including 14 U.S.-based plants, 17 in Europe, one in Malaysia and one in Israel. Approximately 55 percent of its sales are outside the U.S, with a focus on grain, protein and processing.

The Optimists meet from 6:30 to 8 a.m. every Wednesday.

The group gathered Thursday with Elaine Tripp as hostess.

WINONA LAKE — The card players met May 2 at Grace Village.

Winners were Beth Huffer, Dian Cartwright, Peg Zimmerman and Barb Calhan.
