The Beta Zeta Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority met May 18, hosted by Brenda Arnold.

New officers were elected. Decisions on philanthropic donations were also made.

The annual geranium sales were successful raising funds for its philanthropic donations back into the local community. The sisters voted to donate $500 to Healthy Families, a voluntary home visitation program designed to promote families and children through a variety of services; $500 to Magical Meadows Therapeutic horseback riding for children, youth and adults; and $1,000 to Joe Kids, which provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services for children with special needs or developmental delays.

Donita Secrist, who recently passed, left a large amount of materials from her sewing passions and the sisters chose to donate the material and large amount of thread to Sew Special Network Association. SSNA solicits volunteers to make all kinds of baby, children and adult handmade items that are distributed free of charge to local agencies.  Beta Zeta chapter has been sewing for SSNA and delivering completed items to local agencies.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, hosted by Marcia Randolph with a light dinner before.
