Peter Johnson, Tamba-shi, Hyogo, Japan, and Abigail Erickson, Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan, will be married July 31, 2016.
She is the daughter of John and Marcia Erickson, Warsaw, and he is the son of Paul and Christine Johnson, Greenfield, Mass.
She graduated in 2005 from Warsaw Community High School, and graduated in 2009 from Taylor University, Upland, with an exercise science degree. She is employed as an English teacher in Nagano Public Schools and is an employee of North Star Lodge and Outdoor Adventures, Matsumoto, Nagano Japan.
He graduated in 2008 from Jonathan Edwards Academy, Turners Falls, Ma,, and in 2012 from Grove City College, Grove City, Pa. with a history degree.
He is employed as an assistant language teacher with JET and is an extreme frisbee coach. JET is a Japanese government initiative that brings college (university) graduates-mostly native speakers of English-to Japan as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) and Sports Education Advisors (SEAs) in Japanese kindergartens, elementary, junior high and high schools, or as Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs) in local governments and boards of education.
