Jean Purcell (seated) of Grace Village was recently honored by the Order of the Eastern Star with her 75-year pin. Purcell was initiated into the Lake Chapter 408 on Nov. 10, 1943, then affiliated with Home Chapter 426 in Illinois, and in March 1958 affiliated with Kosciusko Chapter 160 in Milford. The Kosciusko chapter consolidated with Warsaw Chapter 88 in 2001. Pictured with Purcell is Worthy Grand Matron Diana Surfus of the Indiana Grand Chapter OES, who presented the 75-year pin to Purcell, along with her Golden Roses pin, which all 50-plus year members receive.
