Terry and Maureen Mauzy, Warsaw, are celebrating 50 years together today.

Terry Mauzy and the former Maureen Reiff were married Aug. 10, 1968, in Dutchtown Brethren Church by the Rev. George Pontius.

Terry and Maureen graduated from North Webster School in 1965.

Terry graduated from Porter Business College in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and Karlsruhe, Germany. Maureen joined Terry in Germany in 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1970. The couple then lived in Warsaw, Terry working at R.R. Donnelley & Sons as a material expeditor until medical retirement in 1983.

Maureen graduated from Fort Wayne School of Nursing in 1967, Indiana Wesleyan University in 2000, Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary and Andrews University in 2004. She served as a licensed practical nurse from 1967 to 2000, a licensed local pastor of the United Methodist Church from 2004 to 2007, and as a clinical master social worker in Michigan City  in 2007, retiring in 2012.

The couple returned to their birth home at Dutchtown in 2013.

The Mauzys have 26  nieces and nephews, 49 great-nieces and great-nephews, and 24 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

They are traveling to Tulsa, Okla., to celebrate their anniversary with family.
