Due to anticipated extreme heat and humidity this weekend, two events run by Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department have been cancelled.

The late skate, set for Friday at Mantis Skate Park,  has been cancelled.

Also, the community paddle boarding and canoeing event Saturday at Pike Lake Beach has been cancelled.





The next community paddle boarding dates and time are: July 9, noon to 6 p.m.; July 26, noon to 6 p.m.; July 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The National Weather Service predicts temperatures on Friday will reach 94 and the high on Saturday is expected to be 96.

Sunday’s forecast calls for a high near 90 and a chance of rain.
