A special pre-game ceremony will be held in the Tiger Den Friday at the Warsaw Community High School boys basketball home game against Homestead. Officials from Warsaw Community Schools and Teacher’s Credit Union will celebrate year three of a 10-year community partnership between the school system and TCU. Varsity will tip off at approximately 7:45 p.m. All TCU employees attending the game will receive free admission and a $5 voucher to use in concessions. Raffle tickets will be provided free of charge to all who attend the game. Three tickets will be drawn after the first quarter. During the halftime event, these three winning ticket holders will draw from three envelopes to win $10, $20 or a 30-second chance to Dash for Cash at center court for up to $1,000. TCU will be providing guests in the stands promotional prizes. Registration tables will be set up near entrances to pick up raffle tickets and to learn more about Teacher’s Credit Union. These tables will close at the end of the first quarter. Beginning in 2017, TCU made donations to WCS as part of the naming rights for the TCU Court. These funds support many student enrichment and academic programs throughout the school corporation including special speakers, student activities and academic competitions such as robotics and National History Day. Funds donated from TCU this year will purchase a trailer to assist the school band as they travel to state competitions.
