While every Kosciusko County town will be celebrating Halloween with trick-or-treat on Oct. 31, there are a few festive events beforehand.

The 2019 Downtown Warsaw Spooktacular is Oct. 25. Registration is on the courthouse lawn from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Trick-or-treating is then from 6 to 7 p.m., with the costume contest judging from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Spooktacular is sponsored by the Warsaw Community Development Corp., city of Warsaw, Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club and Miller’s Merry Manor.

Wagon Wheel Jr. will present the musical of “Sleepy Hollow” at 7 p.m. Oct. 25, with an open house at 6 p.m.

Shows also are at 2 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27, with open houses at 12:30 p.m.

The “Not-So-Haunted House” is free with the purchase of a $12 show ticket.

Soul Takers Acres haunted attraction, a fundraiser for the county fair, continues this weekend. Times are 8 to 11 p.m. today and Saturday and Oct. 25-26.

The haunted house is at 1400 E. Smith St., Warsaw, and tickets are $15.

The Silver Lake Lions Club is having its Halloween party starting at 7 p.m. Oct. 30. The festivities will be held in the Silver Lake Conservation building at the corner of Elm and Sycamore streets.

There will be cash prizes for best costumes, and refreshments will be served.

• Bourbon, 5 to 7 p.m. Several local churches will hold “truck or treat” at the Triton Jr.-Sr. High School parking lot.

• Claypool, 5 to 7:30 p.m. “trunk-or-treating” downtown Main Street. Events include a bike giveaway, coffee and hot chocolate, popcorn, games, chilli dogs and candy. Sponsored by Someplace Else Salon, Claypool School, Claypool Lions Club, Claypool police and fire departments and Claypool United Methodist Church.

• Etna Green, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

• Leesburg, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• Mentone, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Costume judging to start at 7 p.m. at Mentone Elementary School.

• Milford, 6 to 8 p.m.

• Nappanee, 5 to 7 p.m. The Harvest Party is 6:30 to 8 p.m. under the open air pavilion.

• North Manchester, 5 to 8 p.m.

• North Webster, 6 to 8 p.m.

• Pierceton, 6 to 8 p.m.

• Silver Lake, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

• Syracuse, 6 to 8 p.m.
