Kosciusko County Fair Association members in good standing can expect an invitation in the mail to the annual membership meeting and dinner on Nov. 18.

Kosciusko Fair Board President Kevin?Harris said during the board’s monthly meeting Monday that those invitations will be put in the mail by week’s end and will include a copy of proposed changes to the board’s bylaws. Those proposed changes are approved by the fair association, Harris said.

The annual dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Shrine Building, with the meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. Members will be voting to fill two empty board seats that are being vacated by board members Michael Bower and Randy Shepherd.

Anyone wanting to fill out an application and run for a board seat must do so by getting an application at the fair office and turning it in by Friday. Members can also plan on getting a financial report during the annual meeting.

In old business, the board heard from Treasurer Sheal Dirck that the haunted house fundraiser happening at the fairgrounds now has generated about $33,000.

Chris Plack, who’s running as an Independent for City County District 2 against Republican Josh Finch, was present at Monday’s meeting and thanked the board for what the fair does for the community.
