Editor, Times-Union:

Thank you to the community of Whitko School District that supported my candidacy for school board representative. While there is loss, I also feel intense gratitude, waves of it every day. How was I so lucky to be part of something so amazing? I thank you for the prayers that have lifted my spirits. And, I thank you for your generosity and kindness, every word of encouragement and grace that I have witnessed during my campaign.

I am immensely grateful to the family, friends and loyal supporters who so generously contributed their time and effort to my campaign during the past eight weeks. I am grateful to have had the chance to do this with you.

Life has a way of reminding you of big things through small incidents. This campaign reminded me that there is nothing more rewarding than being involved in my community. I had the privilege to knock on hundreds of doors and speak to hundreds of voters about changing and improving our school district. You have taken the time to share with me your ideas, your concerns, your aspirations and I sincerely appreciate your willingness to discuss what really matters to you. I hope to see you all again soon.

Congratulations to Annette Arnold, Lynn Studebaker and Georgia Tenney who will serve on Whitko School Board for the next four years.
