Editor, Times-Union:
When I reminisce with friends and family about growing up in Warsaw, fond memories involving teachers often pop up. Maybe that’s part of the reason I became a music teacher.

During this invigorating back-to-school season, I want to send out a big thank you to the teachers in the area for all your hard work. Your influence may be more far-reaching than you’ll ever know. In particular, I salute the music teachers, choral, instrumental and general, who bring the gift of music to life in their special way. I will always remember Miss Margaret Ann Voirol, my high school choral instructor, who taught me much about life through music.

A fund has been established in Miss Voirol’s memory, the proceeds of which will enhance the choral program at Warsaw Community High School. For more information on how you can help the choral arts to thrive at WCHS, please contact the Kosciusko County Community Foundation at www.kcfoundation.org/donate
