Shrine Says Thanks

Editor, Times-Union:

The Kosciusko County Shrine Club would like to thank the Kosciusko County Fair Board for allowing us to assist with the ticket sales at the recent county fair again this year.

A special thank you to Kevin Harris and Sheal Dirck from the board and Jeanette and Montana from the fair office for all their help and support.

With the donation we receive from the board and our other fundraising projects throughout the year, our local club is able to help take the third-graders from Kosciusko County to the Shrine Circus in Fort Wayne every year.

One of the other projects that the Shriners support are our 22 hospitals that assist children with orthopedics, cleft lip and palate, burn care and spinal cord injuries.  All of this at no charge.

If anyone knows of a child that could use these services, they can contact a Shriner or call our local hospital in Chicago at 773-385-KIDS (5437) from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Central time, 773-622-5400 after 5 p.m. Central time or at 800-237-5055.

Bushes Trimmed

Editor, Times-Union:

I would like to thank eight or nine men who helped trim bushes at my home. They were from Zimmer Biomet and they did a awesome job. Thanks again.

Thanks For Newspaper

Editor, Times-Union:

Thank you for publishing the newspaper. I am a senior citizen. I grew up reading the newspaper.

My father always depended on the delivery each day.

I especially love the Sunday comics section. It is the best selection of comics ever. My favorites are The Family Circus, Lockhorns, Blondie, Garfield, Peanuts, Baby Blues, Zits, Beetle Bailey, Hi & Lois, Dennis, Doonesbury and Rhymes With Orange.

Practically all of them. I hope they will continue to be published as is.

Yours truly,

Betty Wilcoxson
