Editor, Times-Union:
Honoring our craft as hair designers, skincare specialists, massage therapists and nail technicians, the world seems to have the aspect of beauty viewed mainly as “physical beauty.”

However, it is not only our hands, knowledge and skill making the beauty happen but our hearts as well.  Without our hearts and the hearts of our wonderful community, we could not have been able to have been so successful with our fundraiser for "Hello Gorgeous!"

"Hello Gorgeous!" is a non-profit organization that focuses its attention on educating and uplifting the spirits of women who have been associated with various cancers. This organization provides a day that is all about the gorgeous woman. A day that is filled with pampering that enriches her well-being, boosts her sense of self-esteem and restores her mind and spirit. All of the services provided to these precious women are absolutely at no cost to them, which is why our "Hello Gorgeous!" fundraiser was so important to us and the reason we are saying a very special thank you to the following participants. Mike and Kim Becker, co-founders of "Hello Gorgeous!", our beautiful Expressions Salon & Day Spa staff and their families, Chandler Williams and staff of the Times-Union, Culligan, Maurices, Kroger, Clint Marsh at WRSW, Brian Walsh at 98.3 FM, everyone who donated items to our Silent Auction and those who purchased those items and, last but not least, to our amazing community and all those who participated in the success of our "Hello Gorgeous!" fundraiser.

Anyone interested in information about "Hello Gorgeous!" or to nominate a gorgeous woman, please visit their website at www.GorgeousGals.org or call them at 574-850-0471.

Thank you and God Bless.
