Girls Golf
IHSAA State Finals

Competing at the IHSAA girls golf state finals as an individual this weekend, Warsaw’s Abbey Peterson had a fantastic showing at Carmel’s Prairie View Golf Club. Peterson finished top 10 in the state, ending the two-day tournament tied for 7th after shooting a +7 over 36 holes.
Congratulations to Abbey on a fantastic senior season.
Boys Tennis
Wawasee at Warsaw

Wawasee emerged victorious in Saturday’s sectional championship match against Warsaw Saturday morning, winning 3-2 to advance to regionals.
Wawasee won all three singles matches, with No. 1 Joey Harper defeating Charlie Norton 6-4, 6-2, Pablo Mor Chocos defeating Ted Grandon 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 2 match, and No. 3 Kane Dukes defeating Miles Rager 6-2, 6-0. Both of Warsaw’s wins came in the doubles category, with the No. 1 pairing of Henry Norton and Drew Ryser advancing as individuals with a 6-1, 6-2. win over Evan Byler and Dane Cripe. The No. 2 duo of Spencer Love and Luke Smith picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Austin Harney and Brayden Miller.
Wawasee will compete at the NorthWood regional on Tuesday.
Football
Tippecanoe Valley at Western

Tippecanoe Valley got back into the win column Friday night with a 31-14 road win at Western. The Vikings are now 5-2 this season.
Hunter Stage went 4-4 passing for 75 yards and a touchdown to Owen Omondi. Brock Derf ran for 118 yards on 12 carries, reaching the end zone three times. Wyatt Hart had 82 yards on the ground while Grady Moriarty added 81.
Valley plays its final home game of the season Friday night against John Glenn.
Wawasee at Northridge
Wawasee took a loss on the road Friday night, falling 44-15 to conference foe Northridge. The Warriors are now 1-6 this season, 1-4 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
No statistics were available for Wawasee in the game. The Warriors are at home against Concord Friday night.
Whitko at Manchester
Manchester picked up its third straight win Friday night, defeating Whitko 35-14 at home. The Squires are now 4-3 this season, 4-2 in the Three Rivers Conference, while Whitko falls to 0-7, 0-6 in the TRC.
Reiss Gaerte ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Maddox Greer had 48 yards on the ground. Dallas Martin completed three passes, two for touchdowns, for 57 yards. All three passes and both scores went to Eli Metzger. For Whitko, Hunter Long had 50 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Trevor Freel caught two passes for 54 yards and a score.
Manchester is on the road at Lewis Cass next week, while Whitko is at home against Northfield.
Triton at Caston
Triton got back into the win column Friday night with a dominant 42-0 win over Caston Friday night. The Trojans are now 5-2 this season, 4-1 in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference.
Ben McFarland completed three passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns. McFarland also ran for a score. Dante Workman had 90 yards receiving and two scores. Vinnie Prater and Jayden Overmyer each rushed for touchdowns as well.
Triton is at home against Pioneer Friday night.
Volleyball
Warsaw at Elkhart Invite

Warsaw won two games at the Elkhart Invite Saturday morning to take first place, picking up wins over Elkhart and NorthWood. The Lady Tigers are now 24-6 this season.
CeCe Goode combined for 25 kills and 10 aces over the two games. Ellie Hepler had 39 digs on the day. Avary Hoeppner had 15 assists in game one while Madison Branam had 24 in game two.
Warsaw plays its final regular season game Thursday night at home for Senior Night.
Boys Soccer
Lakeland Christian at Trinity

Lakeland Christian ended its regular season with a loss Friday night, falling 1-0 on the road to Trinity. The Cougars head into the playoffs with a 11-5 record.
Braden Weirick made 12 saves in the game.
LCA will face off against Caston Monday night in the Argos sectional.
