A Nappanee woman hit an Elkhart County residence with her vehicle after allegedly traveling too fast for the snow-covered roadway Monday morning.
An Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office crash news release states that Joyce Blucker, 80, of Nappanee, was traveling north in a 2011 Ford Fusion on CR 11, approaching CR 142. She saw that CR 11 was closed north of CR 142 and attempted to stop, but was unable to due to the snow-covered road.
The Fusion went off the road to the east and hit the residence at 24969 CR 142 at about 10:22 a.m. Monday, according to the release.
Blucker suffered a laceration to the face. She was cited for driving a speed too fast for road conditions.
The Fusion sustained front-end damage.
