PIERCETON - A man and his daughter lost all their belongings in a Pierceton fire Saturday night.
According to information provided by Pierceton Fire Department Lt. Nathan Rhoades, at 8:27 p.m. Saturday, PFD was dispatched to 536 S. First St. for a structure fire. While en route, they called for a full assist from Sidney Jackson Township and North Webster fire departments.
Upon arrival of the fire departments, the structure was fully on fire on all sides and the roof had collapsed, according to Rhoades. A car in the driveway was on fire as well.
Firefighters secured the power to the structure and gas, and the fire was brought under control quickly. No injuries were reported.

The house was being rented by Josh Thomas and his daughter, according to Rhoades, but they were not home at the time of the fire. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family.
Due to the extent of the fire, the cause is undetermined.
The property owner advised there isn’t any insurance on the structure. County online records indicate the property is owned by Jeff A. Larson, Nathan A. Larson and Ashley C. Larson TIC, Pierceton.
The structure was comprised of a 1950s camper that had rooms added on to it over the years.
Thomas advised that all their belonging were in there and estimated value of contents is $10,000, according to Rhoades.
All units went back in service at 10:04 p.m.
