Baseball

Warsaw at Rochester

ROCHESTER – Warsaw was the benefit of some late inning offense in a 10-5 win over Rochester Saturday. The Tigers are now 7-6 this spring.

With the game tied up at 5-5 after five innings, Warsaw would score four runs in the sixth and another in the seventh to pull away for the victory. Lukas Maier and Josh Shapiro led the Tigers in hits with three apiece. Both drove in two runs as well. Sam Justice made the start for Warsaw, going four innings and striking out six while giving up two earned runs.

Warsaw takes on Plymouth Monday.

Mishawaka Marian at Wawasee

SYRACUSE – Wawasee picked up a nonconference win over Mishawaka Marian Saturday, shutting out the visitors 5-0. The Warriors are now 4-9 this season after two straight wins.

Lucus Ringler drove in two runs for Wawasee, reaching base twice with a hit and a walk. Kaleb Salazar pitched six innings for the Warriors, giving up just two hits and no runs. Grant Brooks shut the door with two strikouts in the seventh.

Wawasee travels to NorthWood Monday evening.

Winamac at Triton

BOURBON – It was a tough doubleheader for Triton Saturday, as the team fell short in both games 12-0 and 15-0 to conference foe Winamac. The Trojans are now 1-14 this season, 0-9 in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference.

Triton will look to regroup and get into the win column Monday against Culver Community.

Softball

Warsaw at Rochester

ROCHESTER – Warsaw’s losing streak reached double digits after a 24-11 loss to Rochester Saturday. The Tigers are now 3-13 this season.

It was a big day for Kali Ousley, who had three hits, two for extra bases. Ousley drove in five runs on the day. Natalya Holder had two hits for Warsaw.

The Tigers will look to snap their losing streak Monday against Plymouth.
