Warsaw Holds 30th Annual Beaman Home Golf Scramble

By Staff Report-

The rain did not last long and it ended up being a beautiful day at Rozella Ford Golf Club in Warsaw as team members took turns swinging clubs for a good cause at the 30th Annual Beaman Home Golf Scramble on Monday, June 6th. Overall, the event netted $12,500 to support the Beaman Home’s continued goal to provide essential services to domestic violence victims and their children. With 28 teams participating, the day was full of fun and friendly competition.

Medartis Team 1 took home first place in the scramble with a score of 55 (15 under par). Team members were Shane Hartle, Rod Mayer, Tad Nieter, Ryan Schlotterback. The runner-up was Bartel Printing, with team members Murray Bartel, Mike LaLonde, Chris LaLonde, and Nick Anglemeyer with a score of 57 (13 under par).

All teams had options to pay for mulligans and a creative way to further the advancement of their ball on a day full of crazy antics. Bowen Center sponsored a hole where golfers paid to advance a remote-control car to improve their tee-off position. At the end of the day, Bowen Center employees presented Beaman Home with $923 raised by their RC challenge.

Other contests the players participated in were the longest drive, longest putt, and closest to the pin. Brady Wiley and Chris LaLonde won the longest drives. The longest putt winner was Mike Reed and Joe Graham won the closest to the pin. All qualified players were also given a chance to win a 2022 CFMOTO CFORCE 800EX ATV sponsored by Kerlin Tractor & Motorsports for a hole in one on a specified hole.

The Beaman Home is extremely thankful for the generous contributions from local businesses and donors for this event. Hole sponsors were Donna Arnett, Broker of Re/Max Results – Warsaw, Bart’s Water Sports, Beacon Credit Union, Bowen Center, George Brennan, Hal & Jennifer Harting, Edward Jones – Jason Ellis, Lake City Bank, Vicki & Jerry Martin,  MPS Egg Farms, Network Partners, Paragon Medical, Ranger Materials Corp., SHOOP Sports & Youth Foundation, Smith Appliances, Steffen Realty, Tecomet, Titus Funeral Home, TL Jackson Construction, and Turner Valentine, LLC.  Other donations were received by Murray & Penny Bartel, Bart’s Water Sports, The Bowling Alley, Culligan Water, Culver’s, 1st Source Bank, Lake City Wholesale, Latte Lounge & Cave on the Square, Travis McConnel, Paragon Medical, Smith Appliances, Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and Zimmer Biomet. The success of the 30th Annual Beaman Home Golf Scramble would not have been possible without your generous support.
