Warsaw Little League’s junior division team (13 & 14 year olds) won the district 14 championship Thursday, clinching a berth in the Indiana state tournament in Greenwood Indiana beginning this week.

The team will play 3 or more games at the state tournament in an attempt to reach the Little League World Series in Taylor, Michigan.

The team advanced by beating Osolo Little League from Elkhart 5-2 in the championship game held at Boggs Park.

Team members are Tanner Beck, Justin Boyd, Logan Carl, Andrew Contreras, Wyle Eby, Cash Espinosa, Oliver Rish, Sam Shapiro, Sean Smith, Dwight Sommers, Mason Srogi, Alex Vallejo, and Greyson Wonderly.   They are coached by manger Ryan Srogi who is assisted by Mike Carl and Josh Eby.

Details on the team’s upcoming schedule will be shared on the official Warsaw Little League Facebook page as they become available in the next days.
