Warsaw at Concordia Invitational

FORT WAYNE – Warsaw girls golf continued an impressive start to its season with a third place finish at the Concordia Invitational at Foster Park golf course Saturday. The Tigers narrowly missed out on second place, finishing a stroke behind Dwenger with a 343.

On the Individual side of the competition, Warsaw boasted two top-ten finishers. Olivia Robinson-Gay finished in fifth place after shooting a 76. Right behind her was Abbey Peterson with a 78. Warsaw is back in action Tuesday when the team travels to Homestead.

Warsaw at Carroll

FORT WAYNE – Warsaw soccer opened up its season with a victory, shutting out Carroll on the road and picking up a 1-0 victory Saturday.

Despite the Tigers being forced to play a man down in the second half, a goal in the with just two minutes remaining off of a rebound by Callen O’Brien made the difference in the match. The Warsaw defense held tight, and Nehemiah Wright was credited with the shout out in goal. Warsaw travels to Argos Tuesday for its next game.

Fort Wayne North Side at Tippecanoe Valley

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley girls soccer inched closer to regular season play with a controlled scrimmage against Fort Wayne North Side Saturday. The Lady Vikings came out on top with a 3-2 score line.

The game consisted of three quarters, two of 25 minutes and one of 30. Tippecanoe Valley was the more aggressive side in the match, putting up 18 shots on goal. Jessica Brito, Lydia Miller and Noellia Ruiz-Quintana were the Lady Viking’s three goal scorers. Jetta Hughes made four saves in net. The team is back in action Tuesday against Culver Community.

AKRON - Tippecanoe Valley hosted Argos Saturday in a highly contested match up as teams get ready for schedule ramp ups. The Lady Vikings would emerge victorius. Some notable performances from Valley included Emma Patrick and Emily McGriff.
