WCHS Announces Free All-Sports Passes for Students

By Staff Report-

Warsaw -  Warsaw Community Schools is pleased to announce a five-year partnership with SYM Financial Advisors to cover the cost of all-sport passes for all 9th-12th grade Warsaw Community High School students.  In celebration of the partnership, The Warsaw Tiger cheer block will be identified as the “SYM Zone.” Students can look for the orange SYM Zone logo at all regular home athletic events, including basketball and football games.

The firm’s aim is to relieve the burden of cost in the decisions students make about how to spend their time.  SYM recognizes that being a spectator at high school sports can be as impactful as playing in them. It is a great environment for students to participate and feel truly part of their WCHS community.  When that sense of belonging is fostered, the possibilities for both academic and personal growth come together in impactful ways.  Being exposed to the myriad of sports at WCHS may even inspire a student to participate in something new and change their outlook on life.

“As Warsaw natives, my brother Steve and I witnessed first-hand how this community comes together to support the Tigers.  Athletics is an important extension of education.  With this partnership, we follow the lead of others in this community who have and continue to support the Tigers.  Our desire is to enhance the best home court in the State of Indiana,” said Jerry Yeager, CEO at SYM Financial.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with WCHS in this endeavor. Having more students present at Tiger sporting events is a positive for the community, the school, and the athletic teams", shared Steve Yeager, Principal and Senior Financial Advisor at SYM Financial. “But the most important part is the impact it may have on students who might otherwise choose not to attend due to the cost barrier.”

“We are extremely thankful to SYM financial for sponsoring our high school students’ all-sports passes.  This is a great way to promote school and community spirit while also providing a safe environment for high school students.  Go Tigers!” added Dr. David Hoffert, Superintendent of Warsaw Community Schools.
