WINONA LAKE - Following an impressive regular season, Grace’s men’s soccer team had five players receive All-Crossroads League honors.

Ze Maria Goncalves was named the league’s Midfielder of the Year. The junior played in 18 games and racked up 14 points (3 goals, 8 assists).

Martim Cardoso was named the league’s Newcomer of the Year. The junior burst onto the scene with a team-leading 12 goals to go along with two assists. He scored multiple goals in three games and also had a four-match goal streak.

Matteo Conci picked up honorable mention recognition for All-League after serving as Grace’s goalkeeper for every minute of the season.

The Lancers played one of the most challenging schedules in the NAIA. After a slow start, the Lancers finished the year on a hot streak. Grace won five straight matches late in the regular season to finish runner-up in the Crossroads League.

Grace’s postseason is still alive. The Lancers will host Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the finals of the NCCAA Midwest Region. The winner of Saturday’s match will advance to the 2021 NCCAA National Championships in Kissimmee, Fla., beginning Nov. 29.
