A two-vehicle collision at  Lake City Highway and Commerce Drive in Warsaw Sunday morning sent one driver to Kosciusko Community Hospital while another driver and passenger complained of injuries.
According to a Warsaw Police Department accident report, Renee Neher, 20, Lombard, Ill., was driving her 2000 Honda at 11:16 a.m. Sunday traveling south of a driveway access and stopped at the Lake City Highway intersection.
Neher said she looked for oncoming traffic to cross Lake City Highway to go onto Commerce Drive. She proceeded forward, but did not see Driver Donald E. Bailey Jr., 48, Converse. Bailey was traveling west on Lake City Highway in his 1989 Ford pickup in the right lane. As Neher proceeded forward she struck Bailey’s vehicle, according to the report.
Bailey said he saw Neher pull out in front of him and he attempted to swerve into the left lane, but his vehicle was struck. The collision caused Bailey’s vehicle to overturn.
Neher refused medical treatment at the scene but was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital by her mother.
Bailey complained of neck pain and his passenger, Tyler J. Bailey, 20, Converse, complained of shoulder and arm pain.
Damage was estimated at $5,000 to $10,000. Warsaw Police Department assisted at the scene.
