There were no injuries in a collision Monday morning between a pickup and a Warsaw Police Department vehicle.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department report, the accident occurred at 8:02 a.m. Monday at the intersection of East Main and North Detroit streets, Warsaw.
Kathryn L. Potthoff, 46, CR 150N, Grovertown, was driving her 2006 Ford northbound on Detroit Street.
WPD Officer Robert Long, 59, Lakewood Avenue, Warsaw, was driving a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria registered to Warsaw Police Department eastbound on Main Street.
Potthoff said she looked at the light and thought the light was still green. She then looked at the street signs because she was looking where to go, according to the report.
Long said he was on Main Street westbound and stopped at the red light.
Long said the light turned green and he proceeded through the intersection. He said he noticed Potthoff and did not think they were going to get stopped.
Long tried to move over to avoid being hit and was not able to get out of the way.
No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000 to $10,000.
KCSD responded to the accident.
