Farmers State Bank provided a grant of $2,000 to Kosciusko County Educational Development to recognize its dropout prevention efforts in the county. Kristi Manwaring, market manager/vice president of Northgate Branch, and Lindy Breeden, vice president Mentone branch, presents a check to Sariah Morgan, KC-Ed program coordinator. In three years, KC-Ed’s support of graduation coaches at Tippecanoe Valley, Warsaw and Wawasee schools have supported and mentored 143 students to graduation who might have otherwise dropped out. Without the support of businesses like Farmers State Bank, this would not have been possible. These funds will be used to support graduation coaches and program coordination in Kosciusko County. Graduation coaches promote graduation, one relationship at a time by mentoring students at risk for dropping out of school at Tippecanoe Valley, Warsaw, Wawasee and Whitko Community Schools.
