MENTONE – A Mentone man was arrested Monday night on allegations of having sexual relations with a minor relative.
Brian Charles Grosch, 36, of 7431 W. Ind. 25, Mentone, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Monday night on a $50,000 bond. He is charged with a count of child molesting, a Class A felony.
The girl’s mother contacted Child Protective Services July 14 and said her now 11-year-old daughter told her that Grosch had molested her, according to a probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s office.
On July 17, Child Protective Services spoke with the girl, who said in 2010, when she was 6,  Grosch removed her clothing while she was lying in bed and performed sexual acts on her. She said he told her not to tell her mother.
She also said when she was 7, Grosch called her into his bedroom and asked her to pull her pants down. She said she ran out of the room.
In Spring 2014, she was riding an ATV through the woods with Grosch and he tried to place his hand under her shorts when they hit a bump, according to the affidavit. She said another time he exposed himself to her.
A sheriff’s department deputy spoke with Grosch, who admitted to the 2010 sexual act and that he had asked the girl not to tell her mother. He also claimed an incident of exposure was accidental.
